Zinzino Omega 3 Vegan (BalanceOil+ Vegan) is an oil made from marine microalgae oil, Ahiflower® seed oil, cold-pressed olive oil and plant-based vitamin D3. Annapurna Life sells it in its own shop. One bottle contains 300 ml. EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA.
Ingredients & context of action
Ingredients according to the manufacturer: cold-pressed olive oil, DHA- and EPA-rich oil from the microalga Schizochytrium sp., Ahiflower® (refined Buglossoides seed oil), flavouring (natural lemon oil), antioxidant (tocopherol-rich extracts) and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol from plant extract). 12 ml contain 3,046 mg of omega-3 fatty acids, including 771 mg EPA, 1,123 mg DHA and 180 mg DPA from the algae oil and 288 mg SDA, 683 mg ALA and 95 mg GLA from the Ahiflower® oil. In addition, there are 5,141 mg of omega-9 fatty acids from the olive oil and 20 µg of vitamin D3 (400% NRV). DHA contributes to maintenance of normal brain function. This applies with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA. Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
Quality & safety
According to the manufacturer, the plant-based raw materials are certified by The Vegan Society. Store unopened protected from light and dry at room temperature. After opening, keep in the refrigerator and use within 45 days. Below 4 °C the olive oil may turn cloudy; at room temperature it becomes clear again. Anyone taking anticoagulant medication (blood thinners) should seek medical advice before use. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet.
