Basic Detox Zeolite Panaceo® at Annapurna Life

Product description

Basic Detox is the product name of a zeolite product by the Austrian manufacturer Panaceo. It is not a food supplement but, according to the manufacturer, a certified class IIb medical device. Annapurna Life sells it as capsules (200 pieces) and as powder in 200 g and 400 g tubs. Medical devices follow different rules from food supplements: the manufacturer defines the intended purpose, which is stated on the label and in the instructions for use. Here we only reproduce composition, packs and use and make no statements of our own about effects.

Composition

According to the manufacturer, one capsule contains 410 mg of PMA zeolite and a cellulose capsule shell (90 mg). A serving of 3 capsules equals 1,230 mg of PMA zeolite. The powder is 100% PMA zeolite. According to the manufacturer, PMA stands for «Patentierte Mikro Aktivierung» (patented micro activation), a process of Panaceo. Zeolite is a mineral of volcanic origin. According to the manufacturer the clinoptilolite content is over 80% and the average particle size is 4 to 7 micrometres. According to Panaceo the product contains no artificial additives, and according to Annapurna Life no fillers either.

Manufacturer notes

Medical device: follow the instructions for use on the label. Medicines: according to the manufacturer, keep at least 2 hours apart, taking medicines first unless prescribed otherwise. If you also take medicines, the manufacturer recommends consulting a doctor. Constipation: the manufacturer names constipation as the only known side effect, to be noted especially with existing chronic constipation, and advises drinking at least 1.5 to 2 litres a day during use. Unexpected effects: if an unexpected effect occurs, the manufacturer recommends stopping use. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: according to the manufacturer the data are not sufficient to confirm use as safe without restriction; the manufacturer asks you to consult your doctor. Children and adolescents: according to the manufacturer there is not enough study data, a doctor should be consulted, the manufacturer does not support preventive use, and it does not intend continuous use in children. Use

Dosage, amount of water and period of use are given in the instructions for use of each pack. The figures on the websites of the manufacturer and the retailer partly differ, so we do not give our own instructions here. According to the manufacturer it is taken before, with or after meals with water. The instructions for use on the label are authoritative.
